Help please. Go to Solution. Probably the correct way on a machine of this age where not likely any updates from HP will be coming is to turn it off.

View solution in original post. My H-P updates starts as soon as I turn my computer on. How can I set it up so I can choose when to run it? There should be a 'Settings' button where you can set it to 'Never'. Then when you want to check for updates just run it from there. If you have the icon there and right click to Remove it that stops it from starting up every time your machine starts up. It does not uninstall it-but should stop it from running.
